Frequently Asked Questions:

Do you accept insurance? My services are eligible for out-of-network insurance benefits, flexible spending, health savings accounts, and other tax-deductible medical benefits. I can help you determine your out-of-network coverage, and I am happy to help you find ways to make therapy more affordable.

What is your fee? My fee ranges from $300-$450, depending on the type and the time of service. I am committed to making therapy accessible and I reserve 30% of my practice for clients who require a reduced fee.

What form of payment do you accept? I accept cash, check, or Zelle (amy@abodyofbeing.com).

Do you offer initial phone consultations?  I am happy to speak with prospective clients for a brief 10-minute call to answer specific questions. Otherwise, I meet with prospective clients for at least one in-person consultation appointment to determine if we are a good fit. I charge my regular fee for initial consultations.

Do you do remote teletherapy? I work both in person and remotely on a secure Zoom platform.

How long are sessions? Sessions are 45-60 minutes long, depending on the type of session.

How frequently would I come to therapy?

  • For couples work and individual psychotherapy, frequency and consistency are essential in facilitating change. To that end, we see each other on a weekly basis at a mutually agreed upon time. If more frequent sessions are warranted or desired, we would meet more than once each week.

  • For Embodiment Work, Somatic Experiencing, Psychedelic Consultation, or Integration Work, we determine the frequency that would be most advantageous.

What is your cancellation policy? If you must cancel a session, I require notice of at least 48 hours, not including weekends. If you are unable to give ample notice, you will be responsible for the full fee for the missed session.
